Vacuum Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying
Vacuum dense phase conveying systems provide an efficient way to convey powders in a gentle manner where product degradation, heat retention, and/or segregation are process concerns. Products are conveyed at lower velocities with lower air volumes and higher levels of vacuum.
Some vacuum dense phase convey system characteristics/options include:
-
Special pick-up pan designed to prepare powder for conveying
-
Filter/receivers to separate air from product rated for high vacuum - many configurations
-
Discharge valve based on process requirements - butterfly valve, rotary airlock, slide gate
-
Vacuum pumps designed for high vacuum - access to top manufacturers
-
Batch or continuous process based on process requirements
-
Convey line air injectors to aid in conveying and to reduce chances of system plug
-
Slug product flow through convey line
Vacuum Semi-Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying
Vacuum semi-dilute phase conveying systems provide an efficient way to convey powders in a gentle manner where product degradation, continuous product flow, and/or segregation are process concerns. While not operating in a true dense phase manner, these semi-dilute phase systems provide many of the benefits of dense phase systems while operating more efficiently by reducing air consumption, convey line sizes, and overall energy requirements.
Some vacuum semi-dilute phase convey system characteristics/options include:
-
Filter/receivers to separate air from product rated for high vacuum - many configurations
-
System air bleed valves modulated by unique control system to facilitate transfer at consistent levels of vacuum
-
Discharge valve based on process requirements - butterfly valve, rotary airlock, slide gate
-
Vacuum pumps designed for high vacuum - access to top manufacturers
-
Batch or continuous process based on process requirements
-
Slug and moving dune product flow through convey line
